Airplane Ceiling Fan

Looking for an airplane ceiling fan?  Most people don’t realize that you can get a lot of strange shaped fans instead of the classic 3-5 blade boring white and black models.  There are a whole slew of interesting and unique models to choose form, especially if you’re out browsing through the Internet.  One of these fans is called the airplane ceiling fan.

The Airplane ceiling fan is the ultimate fan for any kid out there.  If you’re wondering what it looks like exactly, it’s as if the nozzle of a plane is stuck in the ceiling because the plane has come and crashed into the roof of your house!  Ya, it looks that cool.

The blades of the fan are usually 3 blades that are painted to look like they are part of the front propeller of an airplane and the base of the unit is shaped like the front nozzle of the aircraft.  Depending on which one you got, it can be detailed to look like a variety of different types of airplanes, some based on actual models. 

You can for instance get the tiger shark airplane ceiling fan.  Here’s a fan which has a base where on either side of it are a row of white teeth painted on with an open mouth and red tongue.  There is also a small eye painted on.  The top of the propeller is painted red and has 3 fan blades coming out painted brown with yellow tips on the edges of the fan blades.  It really is a cool image. 

Kids will love going to bed at night and looking up and seeing this fan.  Every kid loves airplanes and this thus makes the perfect compliment to anyone’s son’s or even daughter’s room.
Then again, this fan might be for you yourself.  Perhaps you’re a pilot or you’re very much into aviation.  In this case, it’s not only for kids, but it can be like a hobby fan for adults as well. 

Now usually when you’re getting these they come pretty cheap so you don’t have to worry about breaking the bank.  Some you can get for as low as $150, while others will come in at just under $300.  Of course it depends on the type of fan you get, I’m sure there is one airplane ceiling fan out there that stretches outside these bounds, but generally this is what you can expect to pay.

You’re also going to want to make sure the motor is quiet so it doesn’t annoy you when its on, and you might want to consider getting a fan with a built in dimmer if at all possible, options like that are always good.
