Tropical Ceiling Fan

Are you interested in getting yourself a tropical ceiling fan?  Perhaps you want to step out of the mold of the usual boring fans and you find the tropical ceiling fan an interesting departure.  Then again, maybe you’re looking to install it outdoors somewhere where it will create a nice homely atmosphere.

Regardless of the reason, you will not find a shortage of the tropical ceiling fan, they are pretty much a staple outdoor fan style.

Now if you’re looking for one of these fans but you’re not sure where to begin, here’s a quick list of some that you may want to consider picking up:

Hunter 23970 Oasis Three Light 54 Inch 5 Blade Ceiling Fan

Here’s a 5 bladed fan where the fan blades are shaped like the petals of a flower and colored brown.  Beneath this is a chrome metal light fixture with 3 white bell shaped fixtures below to illuminiate the room.

This is a very elegant fan with a bit of a tropical style to it and it can be used to either help cool you off during the summer or circulate the warm air that rises during the winter.

This fan has a 180 watt output via 3 60 watt bulbs and it comes with a lifetime warranty.  All in all this is a decent fan that works great.  You may have a few problems installing it but that’s usually how it is with just about anything you buy.

One thing to note is it does make a little bit of noise on the high setting, although admittedly, it may be because of the installation.  Other than that, a great choice.

52” Casa Vieja Rattan Outdoor Tropical Ceiling Fan

Here’s another great outdoor fan to consider.  This doesn’t look like a flower like the prior fan, instead the fan blades look more rectangular with all the edges smoothened out and very rounded.  It has the Rattan blades as they’re called that have a 52” span as well as a 14 degree pitch to them, it also has a rust finish, great for outdoors.  It’s hard to describe this one without a picture, but it does look a lot more classy and sylish than the Oasis and it comes in at around $240 rather than the $225 Oasis.

Hunter 23980 Bayview 54 Inch Five Antique Dark Wicker / Antique Dark Palm Leaf Blades

Ok, while this one is similar in looks to the Oasis that we mentioned first, it’s dark chrome, almost black appearance makes it look a lot more sophisticated and stylish.  These look great when placed out on the patio and you will get compliments on them, that’s for sure.

Women will love this tropical ceiling fan, most women have a great sense of style and can instantly notice how sleek this one looks.  It’s well designed and works great.  It costs around $350, but it is definitely worth the price.
